Day 7: Worthy of Worship
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life," John 3:22-36 (NIV)
There’s nothing better than You.
This is a lyric from a popular worship song called “Graves into Gardens.” There’s a YouTube video of this song showing thousands of people singing these words over and over. But why?
I can’t speak for everyone in that video but maybe it’s the same reason why folks have sang these other lyrics for many years:
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
For many of us, a big part of our Worship through music is just a simple opportunity to express back to God our gratitude for His generosity to us. This chapter of John highlights the greatest gift we could ever receive: eternal life.
We just read in the beginning of Chapter 3 that God loved the world so much that he has provided a salvation plan for us through His Son Jesus and we will receive eternal life, if we believe. John states this again in vs. 36, the gift of eternal life is for those who believe.
What an incredible gift! How will you respond to that gift today?
There is nothing better than You, Jesus.
How Great Thou Art, How Great Thou Art!
