Read Luke 1:8-17

Zechariah’s had the opportunity to enter the “Holy of Holies” in the temple. Individuals could not walk freely in and out of this area. This may have been a once in a lifetime opportunity for Zechariah.
When I was 18 years old, I attended a young adult worship service where I felt lead to pray and commit to God that I would only date a Christian. Today, I see the incredible blessings of that commitment. I am grateful to have a spouse that loves God. Like Zechariah, I had some waiting to do before my prayer was answered. When God answered Zechariah’s prayers, he did it in a manner that he probably never had expected. An angel appeared to him in the “Holy of Holies” and informed him that not only would he have a child, but that his child would be the forerunner to the Son of God. What an incredible answer to prayer!

A Special Christmas Memory from Kate R., age 15
One of my favorite Christmas memories was when I was about 5 years old. It was the day after Christmas and we were walking through Sears. I saw a lip gloss that I had received from Santa. I turned to my mom and said "I get it! Santa shops at Sears." My mom thought at the time that I would think Santa wasn’t real. But I didn’t. It is one of my greatest memories.
