Christmas Devotional Revisited 2022
December 7th
Centenary Christmas Devotional - 2009
Read Luke 1:34-38

Some individuals struggle with this passage. They may respect that Jesus helped people and taught people to love others, but a Virgin Birth “that’s just not possible.” God’s choice to bring His Son into this world through a Virgin Birth was not an accident or a surprise to Him. He had a plan and a purpose.
As we are shown how God makes the impossible possible, we can know that what we see as impossible is possible. For the believer, this provides hope for situations that are hopeless. For some of us, it may be seeing a loved one come to Christ, someone freed from the addiction of alcohol or drugs, someone’s illness healed or help in a financial storm. The same God that worked in Mary’s life is there for the believer to turn to in prayer. God is still God and will choose when to do the impossible. We can always come to Him with the need and not simply give up on the struggles we are facing. The Virgin Birth is a reminder that our God can do the impossible.

A Special Christmas Memory from Betty H.
Oh the memories of Mom’s icicle laden Christmas trees and the look on my daughter's face each year I presented her with a special tree ornament. (Each year she makes sure to remind me).
