Questions - What message did Paul receive from the Lord in verse 11?
Who was instrumental in your life in helping you to meet and/or follow Jesus?
God blessed me with a mother and grandmother who both knew Christ as Savior and were committed to ensuring my three sisters and I would seek and find him as well.
Like her mother, Mom lived her faith and the quality of her character reflected that of Christ. She was kind, never speaking ill of anyone. I watched and listened.
Mom ensured we attended Sunday School and church each week, and when old enough, “Methodist Youth Fellowship” (MYF).
It was during a Lay Witness Mission at church, March 12th, 1972, when I heard the youth speaker explain the gospel in such a way that I felt compelled to answer. I asked Jesus to forgive my sins and be Lord in my life.
Feeling the most overwhelming, warm hug, I knew Jesus had entered my life as Savior.
Since that day at 14 years old, I have tried and sometimes failed to be a faithful follower, obedient to God’s Word, seeking him daily and trying to be an example for my children and grandchildren.
I have experienced God’s love, grace, mercy, compassion and care more times than I can count.
