Our Vision: A Church for Every Generation.
A church for every generation. That’s how we see ourselves, and that’s what we strive to be. That means no matter your age, culture, or how long (or short) you’ve been following God, you have a place here with us.
Centenary Church is part of the United Methodist Conference.
Our Core Beliefs
At Centenary we believe in the Trinity—that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible contains His perfect truth, and that truth is greater and more powerful than human wisdom. We believe that Centenary Church is His property, not ours, and that it is our job to be faithful keepers of His church until we pass it on to the next generation of believers.

Bob Collins | Pastor
M.Div., Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary (Fresno, CA)
Pastor Bob loves being present for people in every circumstance: the joy of weddings and baptism, the grief of loss and illness, and everything in between. He counts himself privileged to stand with them at all times to remind them of our hope, and of the God that loves them. Pastor Bob, or “PB,” as many of us call him, is known for his love of the Bible, his penchant for storytelling, and his love of all things Disney.
Key Verse: Luke 17:15-16
“One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.” (NIV)
Brian Ralston | Associate to the Pastor
M.Div., Trinity Evangelical Divinity School
In addition to periodically preaching in church and frequently leading large group Bible studies, Brian often works behind the scenes supervising several ministries and mentoring many individuals in our church family. He also works closely with most of our ministry staff, acting as a sounding board for new ministry ideas, a catalyst for new programs, and a valuable and insightful advisor.
Key Verse: Eph. 2:10
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (NLT)
Ben Akina | Modern Worship Director, Student Ministry Supervisor
Besides leading the worship team in our Modern service, Ben works heavily with the youth of our church throughout the week: coordinating the student worship team, helping with youth group, and providing free music lessons to youth and adults who would like to someday serve in worship ministry. Ben believes the act of worship through music is a huge blessing, and it would be a shame to miss out on it.
Key Verse: Ecclesiastes 3:11
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” (NIV)
Heather Daniel | Children's Ministry Director
Heather has worked with children her whole life because she loves their energy, honesty, and incredible potential. Knowing that childhood is a critical time in their lives, she works hard to blend fun & games with solid Bible teaching so that students leave elementary school understanding God’s grace and the joy of sharing Jesus’ love with others.
Key Verse: Psalm 145:4
“Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.” (NLT)
Deanna Hutton | Adult Ministry Director
As Adult Ministry Director, Deanna provides opportunities for the people of Centenary to put their gifts, talents, and abilities into practice. Whether she’s coordinating an event, leading the Care Team, or overseeing soup delivery, Deanna acts as a “connector”: linking individuals to vital areas of need where, through serving, they can grow as believers.
Key Verse: 1st Corinthians 12:12-14
“The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part.” (NLT)
Mark Vasche | Lay Director
A “Lay Leader” is a volunteer from the church family who serves as a sounding board and communication facilitator between Centenary’s members and the ministry leadership. Mark Vasché has been doing this since long before we had a title for it. His service and membership at Centenary extends back over 45 years! If you see him around campus, feel free to share with him your insights and concerns about Centenary.
Key Verse: Ephesians 2:10
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (NIV)
